Entry Fees

• $30 – by September 12
• $60 – after September 12 and before September 27
• $80 – on September 27 and afterwards
• FREE entry for FIDE-titled players (WCM, WFM, WIM, and others)
• On-site registration (if spots remain): Saturday, 10/04, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m
• Withdrawal on September 29th or later will not receive any refunds.

Championship & Qualification Rules

• This event serves as the official Texas State Women’s Chess Championship.
• The winner will hold the title of Texas State Women’s Champion.
• The event also acts as a qualifier for the Texas Women’s Collegiate Superfinals to be held next year.

Tiebreak System

1. Direct encounter (head-to-head result)
2. Buchholz (strength of player’s opposition)
3. Number of wins

Fair Play Policy

No phones will be allowed in the playing hall. There will be another room where bags can be left with their coaches/chaperones.
Chief TD will make final decisions on any issues related to any matches.
